Monthly Finance Reports

No matter what size the organisation, whether large or small, ExpensePlus has all the financial reports you need.

Please read this help guide article to review common approaches to producing 'Financial Management' reports.

Key Management Reports

  1. The Income & Expenditure Summary (by Fund) report, shows income and expenditure trends over time, provides an actual vs budget analysis, and a year-end projection. You can choose to view this report for specific funds or across all funds.
  2. The Summary by Category Connector report uses the Category Connector functionality to group together categories and provides you with another option for how to view and analyze your data. View this article for more detail.
  3. The Balance Sheet Report shows a breakdown of assets and liabilities, and at the bottom, the net assets for each fund. The balance sheet provides a breakdown of cash totals, other assets, accruals and deferrals. The Fund Movement Summary report in ExpensePlus also shows a breakdown of net assets between funds in an easy-to-understand format.

Sending Reports

With ExpensePlus there is no need to send out monthly reports, since users can be given access to view reports. It's easy to customise what each user can see and you can even provide users access to drill into the detail where appropriate. Not only will this save you time, but it also enables users to view up-to-date information whenever they need it from any device.

Should you wish to send out information, we'd recommend you do so by sending the relevant report links. This way, if something is updated, the information they see will still be up to date, and unlike a paper/PDF report, online reports are drillable! If you still wish to send or print physical reports, then you can do so by clicking the download buttons at the bottom of a report and if you wish to you can even add your organisation's logo to reports.
