Can I turn budgets off?

This article explains how budgets are used within ExpensePlus, and how to turn them on or off.

Budget settings

By default, your system is set so you can enter budgets for your income and expenditure categories.

These then show on your finance reports. Budget projections are calculated using the variance between your actual income/expenditure and your budget. This forecasts your end of year position.

If you don't want to use the budget feature, you can disable the budget functionality in System Settings > Organisation Settings.

Turn off variance and projections

If you still want to enter and see budgets, but you don't want projections to display in your finance reports, you can turn off budget projections by clicking on the button at the top of the report screen.
