Receipt not displayed when checking receipts

When checking receipts, the image of the receipt should be displayed. This allows the person carrying out the receipt check to verify that the receipt is readable and that the correct receipt has been provided.


Why is the receipt image not appearing?

Receipts in ExpensePlus are stored in PDF format. During the receipt checking process, ExpensePlus provides the browser with the PDF image, and the browser's native PDF viewer displays this image.

While most devices display the PDF image for the user to see, some browsers don't display the PDF image. This happens particularly when using either a mobile phone or a tablet device.

Where this happens, some browsers offer a 'download' option instead, and others simply don't display the PDF image at all.


What should I do instead?

Most users check receipts on a laptop or desktop, as this enables the receipt to be viewed more easily alongside the corresponding information.

Good to know: We are not aware of any browsers that have issues displaying PDF receipts when a laptop or computer is being used.
