What is a Gift of Money?
The 'Gift of Money' functionality allows a user (with the appropriate permissions) to submit a payment request without the need to provide a receipt or corresponding paperwork. Although there is an option to upload a receipt if desired.

The 'Gift of Money' option is useful where the payment relates to external charitable giving or a discretionary monetary thankyou gift or ex-gratia payment. Transactions entered by this method will bypass the receipt-checking stage of the ExpensePlus workflow but will still require approval as normal.
Important: The Gift of Money option within the purchases screen is only for one-off gifts. To find out how to manage recurring gifts of money, see this separate help guide article.
Note: adding a document or receipts for Gifts of Money is optional, but it's good practice to document / evidence financial gifts that have been given
