How do I add a donation method?
Within ExpensePlus you can customise which donation methods are shown when reconciling income transactions.
It's really important that when you record donation income, the donation method is set correctly. If you set the correct donation method, ExpensePlus will correctly exclude donations given via a payment processor that collects Gift Aid on your behalf from Gift Aid claims you create within ExpensePlus.
How do I add a donation method?
To add a donation method, go to Settings > Donation Methods and then click 'Add New Donation Method'. Select the provider who processes your payments.
Which donation methods are eligible for Gift Aid?
Donation methods which use any of the following are eligible for Gift Aid (where a donor has a valid Gift Aid Declaration that covers the donation date):
- Cash
- Cheque
- Card
- Card (contactless)
- Bank Transfer
- Stripe
- GoCardless
