What is the welcome email for new users?

When you add a new user to ExpensePlus, you can choose for ExpensePlus to send them a welcome email straight away or at a later date. The welcome email:

  • allows the new user to log in to their account and set up a password
  • gives them the name and email address of the system administrator for their organisation
  • includes a link to the 'Welcome to ExpensePlus video', which is hosted on YouTube.

Choosing when to send the welcome email

Sending the welcome email is the default option when creating a new user. If you don't want the welcome email to be sent when you click submit to create the user, you can untick the box at the bottom of the user profile screen.

You can send the email at a later date by clicking the 'Resend welcome email' button (letter symbol) to the right of the user's row on the user settings screen.

You can also resend the welcome email at a later date, for example if a user cannot find it in their email inbox - see Resending a welcome email to new users.
