Can I view donations month to month?
This article outlines two different reports that allow you to view donations month to month.
ExpensePlus offers two reports which allow you to view and analyse your organisation's income from donations by month.
Monthly Comparison (by Donor)
The Monthly Comparison (by Donor) report provides a monthly breakdown of all donations, split by donor.
It shows you how much each donor has given monthly as well as an annual total. To see more details of an individual's donations, simply click on the donor's name.
At the bottom of this report, there is an aggregate total of all the named donations received for each month. This provides an easy way to track how donations may have changed over the year.
Monthly Comparison (Summary Totals)
The Monthly Comparison (Summary Totals) report provides anonymised data of aggregate donation totals, calculated within donation ranges.
You can edit the donation ranges by clicking 'Customise'.
The default donation ranges given are:
- Donations under £100
- Donations valued between £100 - £300
- Donations valued between £300 - £500
- Donations over £500
The report is anonymised and is therefore a brilliant report to show organisational leaders who can't see the names of donors, but do need to understand the financial health and sustainability of your organisation.
